DOOM'S DAY "THE UNHOLY" ALBUM REVIEW!

Hailing from Quebec Canada, Doom's Day have released a new album entitled The Unholy via PRC Music. I must say as I sit here and listen to the album, I'm getting flashbacks of when music wasn't afraid to take a chance. No boundaries surround these guys at all. You can definitely hear the touches of influences by such bands like King Diamond, Venom, and The Misfits. Very raw and in your face metal!

The album opens up with the intro track "Overture of The Damned" and thunders into the classic sounding "She's Possessed". "The Unholy" and "Sabbath Deadly Sabbath" both are very impressive using different voices and haunting keys with some great guitar playing.

"Necronomicon Ex-Mortis" is up next with a haunting chorus line that sends chills down the spine. "The Sorceress" slows things up a bit for a very chilling tune showing a bit of diversity which is always a excellent thing in my book.

"Your Last Breath" and "Ghost of Fate" finishes off the album in a very heavy way showcasing everyone's musicianship and willingness to kick your ass. Doom's Day has released probably one of the coolest albums I've heard this week. I would absolutely recommend this album to everyone who likes their metal with a little bit off doom with sprinkles of punk. Go and check it out and support metal. These guys deserve it!

4 out of 5 Stars!
